Vermilion Speedway was two miles to the west of fire etc and Lakeland College.   It died out in the late 60's but in '77 a bunch got together for a few years.  Insurance hassles and differences between the drivers regarding rules spelled the end of the track.   They decided to start racing in Lloydminster.
